Based in the heart of Warrington, Friends of Meadowside support hundreds of people, including families when they need help with extra food, clothing or emotional support. At Friends of Meadowside we offer a safe space where people can come to be part of our community, they can come for a chat and a cuppa, escape isolation and build friendships.

About Us
We are a non-profit, charitable organisation that distributes food to those who have difficulty purchasing enough to avoid hunger – founded by Mark and Helen Davies in 2018, with management Alex and Kelly Rowley and Alexandra Williams.
Friends of Meadowside was established to benefit community members who were struggling to cope without the basic essentials. Our centre has become the local hub of cultural enlightenment. Whether you’re looking for volunteer opportunities or are looking to get involved in one of our exciting projects, we have something for everyone to enjoy.
Over the past couple of years, we have become committed to helping those in need while advocating for fair and equal conditions for everybody in Warrington. We take food safety seriously. We adhere to food industry safety guidelines and our warehouse is audited internally and externally to ensure compliance.
Our Mission
Our vision is to bring positive input and improvement to the lives of the people of Warrington and the surrounding area. Our volunteers all share the same passion for an improved community within our team. This enables us to come together as a team and create a positive name for ourselves, which has earned some reputation over the years.
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. However, we understand and know that many local people face problems either feeding themselves or their families. No matter who you are, the hour of the day, or even what situation you are in, every arm of our organisation is here to help you and your family.
